Litigation is the backbone of the work of a Senior Counsel at the Bar of Ireland.

Ms Kimber is a trained advocate at an advanced level, and has acted in leading cases before all courts including Court of Justice, Supreme Court, High Court and Court of Appeal as well as before the Labour Court and Workplace Relations Commission. She also act for clients appearing before regulatory tribunals.

Ms. Kimber will represent individuals or companies at all levels, and has a particular proficiency in high value or legally complex cases, or cases involving matters of important public principle.

Ms. Kimber also provides tactical advice and strategic overview at all stages of the litigation process. Her mastery of all aspect of employment and equality law will help reduce exposure for your clients. She is available to be involved at all stages of an employment dispute, including providing initial advices to clients.

 

 

For Solicitors:

Ms. Kimber will represent your client in complex cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court as well as statutory tribunals. She provides tactical advice and strategic overview at all stages of the litigation process. Ms. Kimber specialises in employment law advocacy and will help reduce exposure for your clients. She is available to be involved at all stages, including helping with initial advices to clients.

For Individuals:

Through Direct Professional Access, it is possible to instruct Ms. Kimber directly in non-contentious matters, without having to engage the services of a solicitor.

However, if you wish to hire Ms. Kimber to represent you in litigation, you must first engage a solicitor, and the solicitor will arrange a meeting with Ms. Kimber on your behalf.

Ms. Kimber’s fees will usually be based on a brief fee for the overall, and fees for additional pieces of work as they are undertaken or an hourly rate but in some circumstances, a fixed fee may be agreed in advance.
